Nuestra primer tarea era asistir al maestro, quien había estado trabajando voluntariamente, para que no abandonara la escuela, ya que esto significaría que la escuela en Djalingo dajaría de existir. Gracias a ustedes, nuestros patrocinadores, le hemos podido mandar un sueldo de 25 Euros mensuales para los siguientes 6 meses. El dinero está ahí para que cada mes pueda recibir de una forma constante los 25 Euros.
El ir a la escuela todos los días había estado siendo un gran problema ya que el maestro vive en una aldea a una hora caminando de Djalingo. Por esta razón le facilitamos una bicicleta que le ayuda a transportarse. Ésta le será entregada el día de la ceremonia organizada por los habitantes del pueblo de Djalingo. Todo esto es por supuesto una gran motivación para el maestro y es un respiro de aire fresco para la escuela en Djalingo.
Nuestra meta sigue siendo el levantar al colegio, así como asegurar la educación académica de los niños, la cual es escencial para poder lidiar con el mundo actual.
Todas estas cosas son pequeños pasos hacia la visión de Mount Carmel de llegar a ser una fuente de esperanza. Queremos decir una vez más “gracias” a todos ustedes quienes han sido nuestro apoyo. Sin ustedes no habríamos podido hacer nada.
